In the ever-evolving world of British takeaway culture, one culinary trend has emerged victorious: the munchie box. Originating from the bustling streets of Glasgow, this veritable feast-in-a-box has quickly captivated the hearts and stomaches of the UK.
Munchie boxes typically started from Chinese takeaways in Scotland and it is now very common for them to be served around the UK – but I feel that Indian takeaways are yet to catch on to this trend and that’s where Matt Cooper Bites enters.
The box includes the following items but they can be substituted to individual tastes:
Tandoori Lamb Chops
Sink your teeth into tender, juicy lamb chops, marinated in a robust blend of yogurt and Tandoori Lamb Mix, then grilled to perfection.
Masala Chips
Golden and crispy, Masala Chips are the ultimate fusion treat. The perfect balance of heat and flavour makes these chips a delightful companion to the other elements in the box.
Chicken Tikka
Chunks of chicken are marinated in a vibrant mix of yogurt and Tikka Spice Blend then grilled until they’re slightly charred on the outside but incredibly succulent within.
Seekh Kebab
Long, slender kebabs made from minced lamb – packed with heat and flavour.
Onion Bhaji
Crispy, golden bhajis made from finely sliced onions mixed with fresh coriander and the Onion Bhaji Mix.
Masala Dipping Sauce
A creamy, flavourful sauce that’s perfect for dipping.
Pathia Dipping Sauce
This tangy and slightly sweet sauce is made from tamarind, tomatoes, and a touch of chilli.
