Tikka Paneer
If you think our Tikka Spice Blend is just for chicken, think again. This Tikka Paneer recipe proves just how versatile it is, transforming cubes of paneer into a smoky, flavour-packed vegetarian dish that's every bit as satisfying as a classic chicken tikka.
The paneer is coated in a simple yoghurt marinade using our Matt Cooper Bites Tikka Spice Blend, then cooked until beautifully charred on the outside while staying soft and creamy in the middle. Whether you cook it on the BBQ, in the air fryer or in a hot frying pan, you'll get authentic restaurant-style flavour in under an hour.
It's an easy recipe that requires very little prep, making it perfect for busy weeknights, summer BBQs or anyone looking to add more vegetarian meals into their weekly rotation.
Why You'll Love This Tikka Paneer
Paneer is brilliant at absorbing flavour, making it the perfect ingredient for a tikka marinade. The yoghurt helps the spices cling to the cheese, while the high-heat cooking creates those lightly charred edges you'd expect from a proper tandoor.
Best of all, there are no complicated ingredients or long spice lists to worry about. Our Matt Cooper Bites Tikka Spice Blend does all the hard work, so you can enjoy authentic tikka flavour with just a handful of ingredients.
Whether you're vegetarian or simply looking to eat less meat, this recipe is a fantastic alternative to traditional chicken tikka.

Perfect For BBQs, Air Fryers & Midweek Dinners
One of the best things about this recipe is how versatile it is.
Cook the skewers over hot coals for that authentic smoky BBQ flavour, pop them in the air fryer for a quick weeknight dinner or sear them in a frying pan until golden and crisp.
From start to finish, you can have these on the table in under an hour, making them ideal when you want maximum flavour with minimal effort.
They also make a great addition to sharing platters, wraps, salads or homemade curries.
More Than Just A Chicken Tikka Mix
Our Matt Cooper Bites Tikka Spice Blend was designed to recreate proper restaurant-style chicken tikka, but it's just as good with paneer, vegetables and vegetarian dishes.
Paneer is one of the best examples. It holds its shape during cooking, develops a beautiful golden crust and pairs perfectly with the rich tikka marinade.
Once you've tried it, you'll realise this blend deserves a permanent place in your cupboard, whether you're cooking chicken, paneer, prawns or vegetables.

-
3 tbsp Tikka Spice Blend
-
400g paneer
-
2 tbsp veg oil
-
3 tbsp natural/greek yogurt
Directions
Combine all of the ingredients into a bowl apart from the paneer, and mix.
Chop the paneer into square chunks. Massage the marinade into the paneer, cover, and leave in the fridge for at least half an hour.
Skewer the paneer up and BBQ until the paneer is charred. Alternatively, you can air fry these on 200 degrees, turning half way. You can also seer these in a hot pan until the outside has a nice crust.
